용감해지려면 넘어질 각오도 해야한다

It's not the critic who counts;

중요한 사람은 비평가가 아니다

 

not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles,

or where the doer of deeds could have done them better.

강한사람이 어떻게 넘어지는지, 행동하는 사람이 더 잘할 수 있었던 점을 지적하는 사람이 아니다

 

The credit belongs to man who is actually in the arena, 

진정한 영광은 실제로 경기장에 선 사람에게 돌아간다

 

whoese face is marred by dust and sweat and blood;

얼굴에 땀과 먼지, 피로 얼룩진 사람 

 

who strives valiantly;

용감하게 도전하고 

 

who errs, who comes short again and again,

계속 실수하고 부족함을 드러내는,

 

because there is no effort without error and shortcomming;

왜냐하면 실수와 한계가 없는 노력은 없기 때문이다

 

but who does actually strive to do the deeds;

하지만 그는 실제로 행동하며 

 

who knows great enthusiasm, the great devotions;

큰 열정을 알고 위대한 헌신을 하며

 

who spends himself in a worthy cause 

가치있는 목표를 위해 자신의 모든것을 바치는 사람이다

훈수를 두는 사람은 어떤 것도 얻어갈 수 없다

 

경기장에서 직접 싸우고,

부족함을 직면하며

버텨낸 사람만이 

무언가를 얻을 수 있다.!

 

엔지니어를 꿈꾸며 부족함을 매순간 느끼고, 좌절하지만

10년 후의 나를 생각하며 맞서자 :D
